Frequently asked questions (wedding photography)

How is a booking secured?

A booking for your wedding is secured with a deposit of €300 and a completed booking form. All cheques should be made payable to David Cullen Photography.

What happens next?

I will contact you approx 2 weeks before your wedding date to discuss your photography requirements for the big day.
At this stage I will have scouted all locations for photo opportunites (church, reception or any other location selected for shots).

When and where does the coverage begin?

Photography coverage on the wedding day begins at the brides home or where ever the bride may be getting ready, typically two hours before the ceremony. This is optional and at no extra charge!
The alternative is to begin coverage at the church approx three quarters of an hour before the wedding ceremony.

When does the coverage end?

I would normally stay until the meal begins (approx 5.30pm in most cases).

When will the proofs be ready?

Your wedding proofs are generally ready 3 weeks after the wedding is complete! They are available in low resolution CD format. In most cases, the files are watermarked with "David Cullen Photography", this watermarking only applies to the low resolution CD for proofing purposes and will not appear on the high resolution files.

How many shots are taken at a typical wedding?

Every wedding is very unique so the number of shots would range from 350 to 500 depending on the coverage.

What are the lead times for albums?

Once the proofs have been selected, I would present an online preview of the wedding album layout in approx 4 weeks. Clients can be involved in the wedding album design but I would normally design the layout from your selection, changes can be at the preview stage.

When the wedding album preview has been approved, it typically takes 4 weeks for the album to be made, longer lead times apply for custom made wedding albums.

When are final payments due?

I require an instalment (depending on wedding package) on the day of the wedding, final payment is due when the album is ordered! All cheques should be made payable to David Cullen Photography.
